Sliding Scale for Tuition
In accordance with our core value of affordable access, we offer a sliding scale for tuition based on a flat percentage of your gross household income and number of children attending the school. As you can see in the chart below, tuition decreases from the maximum of $6,450 per year with lower income and additional children in an effort to manage total education expense between 5%-10% per household. In addition, tuition can be further offset by the NC Opportunity Scholarship (details below). NC Opportunity Scholarship
Thanks to the newly passed state budget (2023), the Opportunity Scholarship Program has been expanded to allow application by parents of ANY North Carolina student entering Kindergarten through 12th grade, regardless of income. The lottery award amount is based on the family's gross income and number of people in household. As part of the Heritage Classical Academy application process, we require all prospective families who want to receive a tuition discount to apply for the NC Opportunity Scholarship within the priority window of February 1 to March 1.
