Our Beginning
Heritage Classical Academy was birthed from the heart of parents, Jason and Amy Phibbs, who were committed to providing a Christian education for their own sons, Ben and Sam, and their community.
Inspired by Russ Gregg of Hope Academy in Minneapolis, Jason and Amy asked the Jesus question Russ had asked himself, "What does it really mean to love your neighbor as yourself?" If they had expected and provided an excellent Christ-centered education for their own boys, wouldn't loving their neighbor as
themselves mean providing an excellent Christ-centered education for their neighbor?
From that question, their decade old dream to open a school was refined and Heritage Classical Academy was born in September 2019. By God's grace, Heritage Classical Academy will flourish and help meet the diverse academic needs of our neighbors in Stanly County.

Our Mission and Vision
The mission of Heritage Classical Academy is to provide an excellent Christ-centered classical education to the students of Stanly County.

With over 9,000 K-12 students in Stanly County, more private Christian schools are necessary to help meet the diverse needs of our community.
​
We envision Heritage Classical Academy as a thriving K-12* school that will cultivate kingdom citizens who will serve to rebuild, restore, and renew their families, their communities, and the generations, now and to come.

*We started with kindergarten only in August 2020 and will add a grade each year through twelfth grade.

Affordable Access - We will love our neighbor by using income-adjusted tuition to provide affordable access to families of all socio-economic backgrounds.
